Why we built TvT

We wanted a media server that makes organizing videos quick, and just something you can install and upgrade with a simple download and a click.

We wanted to enjoy our own media without ads, unnecessary streaming services, or forced online accounts. No pricing tiers, no subscriptions, no ads. And we wanted the free version to be fully-featured to test everything out, worry-free.

And we really value privacy. So you can run TvT without an internet connection if you like. It’s fully self-contained, with no need for third-party logins or check-ins with external services. The software is yours to use. You can give it to a friend to install on their computer if you like, no questions asked.

So, we built TvT. And the only difference between the free version and the paid version is the ability to stream on multiple devices. Everything else is included in the free version.

Purchase the Beta lifetime license for $49.99 to stream on multiple devices and get lifetime updates for free. We are also dedicated to supporting early beta adopters, so as long as a future feature or service does not cost us anything to run, beta lifetime license holders will always receive new features for free.

You don’t need to worry about configuration files, command-line interfaces, or programming, just download the application on a Windows computer and open it. TvT will launch in your web browser automatically in about 10 seconds.

You can bulk-assign hundreds of videos to categories, genres, or groups (like courses, TV series, or movie collections), and assign thumbnails with just a couple of clicks. Or you can have AI do it for you if you want.

The free version includes 100% of the features and functionality of the licensed version, except for multi-device streaming.

Adjust the volume, brightness, and contrast of any part of your videos. Cut scenes and edit your videos. Download segments of your videos as MP4s. Perfect for creating highlights, removing unwanted sections, and custom volume and brightness adjustments for the perfect viewing experience.

If the video has compatible (non-image based) subtitles, TvT will automatically detect and display them. You can also add your own WebVTT and SRT files and edit them for all videos. Or, you can auto-generate captions with the built-in AI model (no internet connection or API keys required).

Quickly jump between different parts of your video using chapters. Add, name, remove, or extract them from the original video with ease.
